Ten people were killed while trying to cross the English Channel to reach England after their boat was wrecked. French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin confirmed in press statements that the boat carrying migrants capsized while crossing the Channel to England, noting that two other people are missing. Darmanin added that "all government services have been mobilized to find the missing and care for the victims."
