Amman: The Department of Palestinian Affairs, in partnership with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), has launched a humanitarian initiative to distribute 10,000 food and hygiene parcels to families in the Kingdom's 13 Palestinian refugee camps. The project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen food security, assist families facing difficult living conditions, and provide support to those most in need.
According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative falls within a broader series of relief programmes implemented by the Organization in cooperation with local and international partners, with support from Human Appeal Australia and Charisma Malaysia. The department said the project reflects continued efforts to promote social solidarity and deliver humanitarian assistance to eligible beneficiaries, while contributing to improved living conditions for refugee camp residents.
It highlighted the importance of maintaining coordination among relevant partners to ensure the implementation of relief programmes that respond to the needs of camp communities and strengthen support for their residents. The department also expressed appreciation for the contributions of partner organizations, which have helped advance the humanitarian initiative and provide assistance to beneficiary families across Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan.
