Thirteen coronavirus deaths and 867 infections were registered Tuesday in the Kingdom, bringing the death toll from the pandemic to 10,411 and the total number of cases to 797,126, according to the Health Ministry.

It also said in its daily epidemiological report that positive tests today reached 3.35 per cent, and the number of currently active cases stood at 11,429, including 68 that were admitted to hospitals. A total of 597 confirmed cases are being hospitalized, it showed.

The ministry said that 888 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries expected after the 14-day isolation period to climb to 775,286, adding that 62 cases were discharged today.

It also said that the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 8 per cent, intensive care beds 21 per cent and respirators 10 per cent.

In the Central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 18 per cent, intensive care beds 25 per cent and respirators 10 per cent, it said.

In the Southern Region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 10 per cent, intensive care beds 16 per cent and ventilators 13 per cent, it said.

According to the daily brief, 25,873 PCR tests were collected across the Kingdom today, raising the total number of tests that have been taken since the start of the outbreak to 9,255,269.

It also said that a total of 3,462,502 have got the first Covid vaccine shot and 2,943,577 have been double-jabbed.
