Amman: Ghaleb Hijazi, Executive Director of the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), representing the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, inaugurated the 17th Interbuild Near East Exhibition, organized by Golden Gate for Organization of Exhibitions and Conferences Services.
According to Jordan News Agency, the four-day event, which takes place at the Jordan International Exhibition Center at Mecca Mall, features approximately 120 companies and exhibitors from Jordan, as well as several Arab and foreign nations. The exhibition will run through September 10.
Hijazi highlighted the importance of specialized economic exhibitions in enhancing networking opportunities for Jordanian companies, fostering regional and international partnerships, and introducing modern technologies to improve the competitiveness of the private sector.
Souad Al-Jaghoub, General Manager of Golden Gate for Exhibitions, emphasized that the event strengthens Jordan's position as a regional hub for specialized expos. This edition of the exhibition features participants from various sectors, including construction, architecture, interior design, woodworking, stone and marble, lighting, HVAC systems, electromechanical installations, and green building.
The exhibition also includes a Chinese pavilion with 15 companies, aimed at supporting business ties between Jordanian and Chinese firms. Additionally, the event hosts the Interbuild Green Building Forum, organized in cooperation with the Jordan Green Building Council and the Association of Jordanian Architects, focusing on sustainable construction practices.
After the opening, Hijazi toured the participating company pavilions, including the Chinese delegation, to review the latest products, services, and industrial solutions on display.
