Eighteen people were killed and five injured in an Israeli raid on Zaarta region in northern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Red Cross. It said Israeli aircraft struck a house in the town of Aito in Zgharta district, and one person was injured in an Israeli airstrike on Ras Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley. A Lebanese source said a Red Cross aid convoy was heading to Ras Baalbek when Israeli jets struck, damaging a truck and wounding the driver. Building Licenses Rise 3.2% in First Half of 2026
Amman: The number of building licenses issued in the Kingdom rose by 3.2 percent in the first half of 2026, reaching 12,070 compared with 11,700 in the same period of 2025, the Department of Statistics (DoS) said Monday.
