Before his first retirement, his most recent All-Star appearance came in 1993. He missed the All-Star game in 1994 and 1995 due to retirement. Once he returned in 1996, he met a familiar face in Shaquille O’Neal. The two players were starters together in 1993, so it was fitting the two played again once Jordan returned to All-Star status.
