Maysan Police arrested 20 accused who were seeking to shoot at citizens' homes in what is known as tribal assault, during security practices carried out in the districts of Al-Majar Al-Kabir and Al-Maimouna, south of the governorate. The Maysan Police Command said in a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / a copy of it: "The accused constitute three armed groups who were seeking to shoot at citizens' homes and were arrested during the security practices carried out by the police detachments." It added: "The accused were found in their possession of unlicensed weapons and ammunition, and they were referred with the seized items to the security detention center to complete the rest of the necessary legal procedures against them."
