UAE Ambassador, Chechen President Advisor meet to enhance cooperation

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia, has met with Turko Daudov, Advisor to the Chechen President and the Government’s Representative for Religious Affairs in Arab and Islamic Countries.

During the meeting, which took place in Moscow, both sides highlighted the distinguished UAE-Chechen bilateral relations and discussed means to enhance cooperation in all areas to better serve their peoples.

UAE Ambassador, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister discuss boosting relations

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia, has met with Oleg Syromolotov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the outstanding relations between the two countries and ways to further enhance and develop cooperation between them in addressing new challenges and threats.

The two parties reviewed means of combating terrorism, particularly international terrorism.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister commended the role of the UAE in confronting extremism and terrorism.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed chairs Golden Jubilee Committee meeting

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, chaired a meeting of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee Committee, attended by H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee.

During the virtual meeting, the participants presented the First Dreamers, an initiative launched recently by the committee in collaboration with the Federal Youth Authority, to highlight the stories of individuals of have helped shape the UAE. They also discussed developments related to the committee’s programmes.

Sheikh Abdullah lauded the committee members’ efforts and teamwork, especially those related to launching distinguished and innovative initiatives.

He added that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and following the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has made incredible strides and will be intensifying its efforts and continuing its journey of excellence and leadership in the next 50 years, to position itself among the world’s leading countries by 2071.

The efforts of the Founding Fathers have paved the way for the country’s overall development, Sheikh Abdullah continued, pointing out that the UAE’s Golden Jubilee celebrations will include a series of initiatives that will highlight the spirit of the Union and its noble values of tolerance, coexistence and giving.

The meeting was attended by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Cabinet Member and Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth; Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and several senior officials.

UAE-Egypt’s land forces conclude Zayed 3 joint military exercisev

Major General Saeed Al Shehhi, Deputy Commander of the UAE Land Forces, and Lt. General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, attended the closing ceremony of the Zayed 3 joint military exercise held in the UAE, with the participation of the land forces of the UAE Armed Forces and the Special Forces of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The closing ceremony was also attended by several Emirati and Egyptian armed forces officers.

The joint exercise was carried out amidst the extraordinary conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, all national institutions were able to recover and gradually return to normalcy.

Under this framework, the UAE Armed Forces organised the joint exercise, in line with the highest international health standards.

The exercise involved the latest military practices and combat theories related to countering terrorist groups, urban warfare, securing vital targets, special forces airborne and ground assault techniques, and advanced methods of addressing improvised explosive device (IEDs).

The exercise also highlighted the level of field and combat skills of the joint forces, as well as their coordination and cooperation, and enhanced their readiness and capacities to carry out various military tasks using advanced weapons, along with the latest military tactics and plans.

The exercise achieved its pre-set objectives, and both the Egyptian and Emirati forces successfully performed their duties. Emirati Armed Forces recruits demonstrated their ability to use the latest technologies and weapons.

Major General Al Shehhi commended the level of professionalism throughout the exercise.
