القاهرة, 13 سبتمبر / أيلول 2022 تم تتويج ثلاث شركات ناشئة هي Omgyno التي أسستها كل من دورين توتيكيان من لبنان وإليزابيث ميليني من اليونان، و”Siira” التي أسستها ساندرا سلامة في لبنان،/PRNewswire/ — و“ Maternally“التي أسستها ياسمين المعلم في الإمارات، في أول برنامج لمسرعة الصحة الرقمية “FemTech” في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا، الذي أطلقته شركة أورجانون وFlat6Labsفي أكتوبر 2021 خلال معرض إكسبو دبي 2020، بهدف تلبية الاحتياجات الصحية غير الملباة للمرأة من خلال حلول رقمية مبتكرة.

وقد تم الإعلان عن الفائزات بعد وصول عشر متسابقات من مصر ولبنان والإمارات والبحرين والمغرب والأردن إلى المرحلة النهائية من البرنامج مشروعاتهم إلى لجنة التحكيم ومجموعة من المستثمرين المحتملين.

طرحت مشروعات المشاركات خلال حدث استضافه الحرم اليوناني في القاهرة بمصر، وتألفت لجنة التحكيم التي اختارت الفائزات في المرحلة النهائية من دينا الشنوفي، الرئيس التنفيذي للاستثمار في Flat6Labs ، ورامي قوسة، نائب الرئيس المساعد لشركة أورجانون في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا وتركيا في أورجانون، و الدكتور عمرو الأشقر، رئيس قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات في مجموعة مستشفيات كليوباترا، وجيلان المسيري، مدير مجموعة التسويق والاتصالات الرقمية في هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة، بالإضافة إلى فريدريكا ميير ممثلة إقليمية لصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان.

وكانت شركة Omgyno الناشئة قد فازت بالمركز الأول، وهي منصة رقمية تعنى بصحة المرأة و تعمل على إعادة تصميم تجربتها مع الأمراض النسائية. وقد ركزت رائدتا الأعمال، بعد تحديد الأسباب الكامنة وراء الثغرات في اختبار فيروس الورم الحليمي البشري المسبب للسرطان بما في ذلك الخوف من إمكانية الوصول إلى الفحوصات، على تطوير منصة تركز على المستخدمة وتقدم الاختبار المنزلي والرعاية الصحية عن بعد بهدف تعزيز الرعاية الذاتية والخصوصية.

وكانت شركة Siira الناشئة قد احتلت المركز الثاني، وهي منصة رقمية تعنى بالصحة النفسية و مصممة لاحتواء النساء ومرافقتهن في مشكلاتهم اليومية المتعلقة بتربية الأولاد والعلاقات والعمل. وإدراكًا منها بأن 30 إلى 35٪ فقط من الأشخاص الذين يعانون من مشاكل الصحة النفسية يسعون للحصول على الدعم، تركز ساندرا سلامة على معالجة هذه الفجوة.

وجدير بالذكر أن واحدة من كل خمس نساء في العالم تعانين من مشاكل الصحة النفسية خلال فترة الحمل أو بعد مرحلة الولادة. وبهدف العمل على سد هذه الفجوة تم إنشاء شركة Maternally ، التي حصلت على المركز الثالث، وهي عبارة عن منصة رقيمة تم تطويرها لتلبية احتياجات الصحة النفسية الخاصة بالنساء أثناء رحلة الأمومة.

First shipment of Egyptian Grape hits Brazil amid Climate Crisis via Tridge

SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Tridge, South Korean agricultural trading platform, successfully facilitated the first ever export of Egyptian grapes to Brazil.

A major food wholesaler in Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently purchased two containers- equivalent to 28 tonnes – of Egyptian grapes via the Tridge platform.This is the first consignment of Egyptian grapes imported to Brazil, according to Brazilian trade records.

Brazil, as a main agriculture producing country, rarely imports foreign grapes, with its import volume of grapes ranking 67th last year. However, the demand for foreign grapes is increasing due to the recent extreme weather conditions. A large volume of Brazilian grapes deteriorated this season as heavy rains and cold fronts hit Southern Brazil.

“Now is the perfect time to export Egyptian grapes, which are currently in the midst of grape harvesting.” said Oh Kwang, trade manager for Tridge. “The MERCOSUR – Egypt Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in 2020 opened a pathway to export Egyptian grapes to Brazil, which made this unique trade deal successful.”

According to Tridge’s data, Brazilian grape exports are estimated to have decreased by more than 45% YoY in the first six months of 2022. The price of Brazilian grapes has increased up to 20% YoY in some regions, according to Tridge’s data compilation.

Detective Sergeant (DS) Christopher Collins, of the Lake Jackson Police Department in Lake Jackson, TX, understands what it means to be the only digital examiner in a department. He is literally a one-man band. Not surprisingly, DS Collins faces a number of challenges that those in small departments know all too well: multiple roles, budget constraints, outdated equipment, too many devices, and slow USB speeds.

In the two years he’s been in his present position, DS Collins has learned how to use technology as a force multiplier to modernize his workflow and get the information his investigators need to move cases forward as quickly as possible. Train Up: Take up as much free training as you can. Reach out. If your department is part of the ICAC task force, go through ICAC training. They have a ton of resources for training that are free or very low-cost.

Get Cellebrite Trained. As DS Collins explained, “This was one of the best courses I’ve had. And the person who trained me, my instructor for my CCO and CCPA, actually pushed me to get my CCME because he saw how well I was performing in that class. He was a fantastic instructor.”

Find Funding: While there are federal funds available, DS Collins recommends that those seeking funds to transform their department shouldn’t focus strictly on federal grants.

Set Standard Operating Procedures: DS Collins is in the process of building a mandatory mobile device evidence collection course for basic-level patrol officers and even detectives because they need to be able to know how to handle devices collected at a crime scene.

When asked what gets him out of bed every morning and do his job, DS Collins paused for a moment then said: “In the simplest terms, it’s justice for the victims. And the help that it will give those victims in restoring a normal life is insurmountable. That’s the main thing that drives me, is to protect the children.”

Lower House passes Medical Council draft legislation

Lawmakers on Monday passed the Jordan Medical Council draft law during a session chaired by the Speaker Abdul Karim Dughmi and attended by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh.

After an extended debate, the legislature approved Article 17 of the draft as it came from the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee.

Article 17 of the Jordanian Board Exam exempts the categories stipulated in the draft law, including a doctor who obtained the highest specialty certificate from outside the Kingdom before the date of December 13, 2001, provided that his/her certificate is verified by a specialized committee in the council, and a doctor who obtained the highest specialty certificate from a country linked with the Kingdom by mutual accreditation agreements that are endorsed by the Council.

The article also exempts a doctor who holds the highest specialty degree under an approved training program that ended with passing the exam designated in the country where he had training, and who holds a license to practice the profession valid for 3 consecutive years, during which he practiced his specialization in the country that granted him the license to practice, and in line with instructions issued by the Council of Ministers for this purpose based on placement by the board.

In his reply to the lawmakers, Health Minister Firas Hawari said that Article 17 came to address many health human resources issues, including medical staff shortage and latest developments that occurred in the medical field.

He added that the article placed stringent conditions on doctors, including training in an accredited program, and having practiced the profession in the country in which he/she obtained the specialty certificate for a period of 3 years, as this article is governed by instructions.

The 24-article draft law, which was passes after several days of debate, grants legal personality and financial and administrative independence to the Medical Council.

The council comprises the Minister of Health, as chairman, and as members: the Council’s Secretary-General, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Technical Affairs, the Director-General of the Royal Medical Services, and the presidents of the medical, dental and pharmacists association.

It also groups the deans of the faculties of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy in any of the official Jordanian universities, rotating for two years upon a decision by the minister, as well as one of the deans of these faculties in a private Jordanian university for two years, alternately upon a decision by the minister, in addition to a representative of the Private Hospitals Association, provided that he is a medical doctor.

SCO to further promote global security, stability, prosperity

Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the city of Samarkand, and pay state visits to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan from Sept. 14 to 16.

This year is of landmark significance for the SCO, as it marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the SCO Charter and the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Long-Term Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation of the SCO Member States.
