Amman, Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (PLC) said the agreement it recently concluded with Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO India) included an increase in the volume of exports by about 3 million tonnes per year from 2.1 million annually, as of 2023.

In a disclosure on the website of Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) and Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), the company said on Thursday, that the agreement would contribute to increasing phosphate sales and exports by about one million tonnes annually, thus hiking PLC’s revenues and profits and achieving gains to Jordan’s mining sector.

Amman, The industrial production index increased by 3.31% to reach 92.70 points to end of last November 2022, compared to 89.73 points for January- November period 2021, the Department of Statistics (DoS) announced on Thursday.

In its monthly report released today, DoS said this growth was attributed to the increase in the production index. The manufacturing industries sector rose by 81.2%, extractive industries sector went up by 6.12%, while electricity production advanced by 7.25%.

According to the report, general index of industrial production for November 2022 increased by 1.10% to reach 90.95 points, compared to 89.96 points for the same month 2021.
