Amman: Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced allocation of 3,451 old-age retirement salaries during the first half of this year, bringing the cumulative number to 102,367 beneficiaries until the end of last month. In a statement Wednesday, the SSC said eligible beneficiaries must reach the age of 60-year-old for male subscribers, while women must meet the 55-year-old condition. To receive this pension, the SSC said the beneficiary's subscription period in the corporation's insurance umbrella must be no less than 180 monthly payments, which is equivalent to 15 years, including 84 actual contributions, which is a 7-year period. As per the SSC's regulations, actual subscription means mandatory subscription secured by the pensioner's establishment, optional payments, or periods for which unemployment allowance is paid.
