Dubai: 36 Jordanian companies specialized in the food sector are set to take part in Gulfood 2025 Dubai, an international food and beverage trade fair, next Monday, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center. Jordan's participation in the five-day exhibition is organized by the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), with the attendance of 5,500 exhibitors from 129 countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, JEA's Chairman, Senator Ahmed Khudari, stated that the Kingdom's 20th participation comes within the association's ongoing strategy to enhance Jordanian exports of food products and expand its presence in global markets. He emphasized that the event will serve as a platform for displaying and promoting various Jordanian products from local food sectors, including meat and poultry, desserts, baked goods, dairy, cheese, spices, and coffee.
Khudari highlighted that the total area of the Jordanian pavilion is 716 square meters, indicating the commitment of Jordanian companies to expand their presence in the Gulf and global markets. He expressed pride in the participation of these Jordanian companies in this international event, viewing it as an opportunity to introduce Jordanian products to global markets and reflecting the quality of Jordan's food sector.
Referring to Jordanian exports as a solution to economic challenges, Khudari noted that accessing new markets can help increase production, expansion, and investment attraction. This, in turn, provides job opportunities, strengthens foreign currency reserves, and improves the trade balance. Additionally, he mentioned the JEA's coordination with Amman and Jordan Chambers of Industry and Export House Company to participate in foreign exhibitions and organize trade missions to diversify national exports.
Meanwhile, JEA's director, Halim Abu Rahma, noted that the event represents an opportunity to build relationships, conclude deals, and learn about the latest developments in the food industry. He affirmed confidence that Jordanian products will receive attention from visitors and investors at the exhibition. Since its establishment in 1988, the JEA's programs have promoted Jordanian industrial exports, diversified markets, and expanded the export base, especially in the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and France.
