5.75-magnitude earthquake hits Pakistan

The German Research Center for Geosciences announced today, Wednesday, that a 5.75-magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan, explaining that the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers. Another earthquake measuring 5.5 struck the northern parts of Pakistan on Monday, without immediate reports of human or material losses. The National Earthquake Monitoring Center in Islamabad explained that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 151 kilometers in the Hindu Kush mountain range in northern Afghanistan, and was felt by residents of the northern part of Pakistan, including the capital, Islamabad, and the Swat Valley and Peshawar regions.
