500 Mosques in Mafraq Unified Under Centralized Adhan System

Mafraq: A total of 500 mosques in Mafraq Governorate have been equipped with audio receiving systems as part of an initiative to connect local mosques to a unified adhan (call to prayer) system, according to Director of the Mafraq Awqaf Directorate Saud Al-Mashaqbeh.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Mashaqbeh stated that the project has been implemented in four phases. Out of 880 mosques designated for inclusion in the governorate, 500 have been connected across the districts of Mafraq, North-Western Badia, and Bal'ama, as well as the sub-district of Rehab.

He further elaborated that the project is part of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' efforts to upgrade technological infrastructure in mosques and ensure accurate, clear transmission of the call to prayer. He also acknowledged the cooperation of imams and local communities in implementing the system.
