5,000 people enter Syria from Lebanon

The Syrian newspaper "Al-Watan" reported that about 5,000 Syrian and Lebanese people entered Syria from Lebanon today through the Jdeidet Yabous crossing. The newspaper said: "Until noon, about 2,000 Lebanese citizens entered Syrian territory, and a similar number is waiting for the completion of entry procedures. About 3,000 Syrian citizens have also entered so far, returning from Lebanon." It added that "the Immigration Department has dispatched more personnel to facilitate the entry of our brothers from Lebanon, and the Governor of Rif Dimashq, Ahmed Khalil, made a field visit to the border to inspect the conditions of the arrivals and provide everything necessary to facilitate the entry movement." Meanwhile, the Civil Defense in Homs announced the establishment of 5 main shelters in the city with a capacity of about 40,000 people and 9 reserve shelters with a capacity of about 25,000 people, equipped with all necessary services such as water, electricity, sanitary facilities, and telephone, and contai ning the necessary shelter materials such as blankets, sponges, insulators, and kitchen utensils.
