638 New Households Benefit from Monthly Cash Aid as Ministry of Social Development Issues July Report

Amman: The Ministry of Social Development has released its achievements report for July, detailing a range of services provided to target groups throughout the month. In a press statement on Thursday, the ministry disclosed that it received 10,552 applications for health insurance cards and 140 requests for medical expense exemptions. Additionally, 135 transactions were made to settle heirs' rights, and 1,494 applications were processed for work permit exemptions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the report also highlighted the welfare of children, with 52 being placed in residential childcare centers and 33 discharged. Thirteen children found homes with foster families, and 12 nurseries received licenses. The report noted that 286 cases of women and children benefited from the Social Service Offices under the Family and Juvenile Protection Department.

The report further detailed that 283 juveniles were placed under the supervision of behavioral supervisors following court orders. A total of 217 juveniles took advantage of the ministry's juvenile rehabilitation and education centers, with 108 participating in vocational rehabilitation programs. Additionally, 82 working children received psychological and social interventions under the case management methodology.

The report also provided an update on registered associations, citing a cumulative total of 6,078 under the applicable Associations Law. In July, 20 new associations were registered, 97 received requests to amend their bylaws, and 30 were dissolved.

According to data from the National Aid Fund (NAF) included in the report, 638 families benefited from the monthly financial aid program, while 131 households participated in training programs. The fund's call response rate reached 91%. The report also mentioned that 497 anti-vagrancy campaigns were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 839 male and female beggars.
