7 people were killed in a light plane crash of the type "Piper Navajo" in a mountainous area in southern Chile. The Civil Aviation Authority in Chile confirmed finding the wreckage of the plane that was disappeared from radars on Friday, noting that the pilot and six passengers were killed. The plane, belonging to the local Transportes Aereos San Rafael company, was carrying out a flight between the city of Coyhaique and the town of Chile Chico on the border with Argentina in the south of the country. The Civil Aviation Authority opened an investigation into the accident and sent experts to the site. Local media reports indicate poor weather conditions in the area where the accident occurred.
