Aqaba: The city of Aqaba hosted the 10th Art and Beauty Forum, titled "Jordanian Tales," organized by the Ayla Society for Culture and Arts. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Shadi Majali, and saw the participation of 80 artists from eight Arab countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Thabet Nabulsi, ASEZA Commissioner for Tourism and Youth Affairs, emphasized the authority's commitment to supporting events that contribute to highlighting Aqaba's unique status as a city that combines history and scenic beauty. Nabulsi noted that these elements play a significant role in promoting Aqaba as a tourist and cultural destination on both Arab and international fronts.
The forum, themed "Jordanian Tales," serves as a platform for documenting Aqaba's history, civilizations, traditions, and heritage identity, presenting them to the world in an artistic manner. Forum director Ali Krishan emphasized the importance of showcasing Arab creativity in visual arts and portraying an authentic image of Arab culture and civilization.
Krishan highlighted that the theme "Jordanian Tales" was chosen to focus on Jordan's history and achievements. The forum will also feature an art exhibition displaying the works created during the event. To further enhance the experience, tours are planned to introduce participants to Jordan's tourist and historical sites, including visits to Aqaba Castle, Wadi Rum Reserve, and Petra.
