Amman: A traffic operations officer announced that 800,000 vehicles have undergone technical inspections as part of the ongoing winter campaign. Of these, 709,000 vehicles passed "successfully," reflecting the commitment of citizens to prioritize their safety and the safety of other road users.
According to Jordan News Agency, the officer highlighted in an interview with Public Security Department (PSD) Radio that the most common technical issues identified during the winter campaign were malfunctions in various types of lights, including headlights, reverse lights, and turn signals, as well as issues with windshield wipers.
The initiative, carried out by traffic departments in collaboration with the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, is scheduled to continue until the end of the month. However, there is a possibility of extending the campaign if deemed necessary.
The officer also mentioned that any technical issues identified during the inspection will be recorded on the vehicle's traffic record until they are resolved.
