Amman: Minister of State for Public Sector Development, Dr. Khair Abu Saileik, engaged in discussions with UN Resident Coordinator in Jordan, Sheri Ritsema-Anderson, to explore ways of enhancing partnership and cooperation across several areas, with a focus on leveraging technical expertise to empower public sector workers. According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, Abu Saileik emphasized the government's commitment to modernizing Jordan's public sector in line with the Royal vision. He reviewed the core components of Jordan's public sector modernization efforts and highlighted the country's serious steps towards developing public worker capabilities and enhancing their competencies to achieve an effective and empowered public sector, and to deliver advanced government services. Abu Saileik underscored the significance of partnering with various UN agencies to draw on their technical expertise in areas such as public sector development, capacity building, strategic planning, and project management . Sheri Ritsema-Anderson commended Jordan's comprehensive modernization efforts in its political, economic, and administrative paths. She emphasized that Jordanian expertise and competencies in the public sector have a good reputation and expressed the UN's ongoing commitment to provide possible technical expertise to support Jordan's public sector modernization initiatives.
