ACI: Tender Underway to Build 33-Dunum Exhibition Center in Amman

Amman: Head of Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Fathi Jaghbir, announced the chamber's commitment to the development of a new exhibition center on a 33-dunum plot of land owned by the ACI on Airport Road. Jaghbir emphasized the importance of industrialists' engagement in shaping future plans and keeping abreast of developments in the industrial sector.

According to Jordan News Agency, Jaghbir shared these insights during a meeting with investors from Sahab and Muwaqqar industrial estates held at the Jordan Investors Association (JIA) headquarters. He highlighted the chamber's intention to forge complementary relationships with regional industrial associations to drive the success of the national industry.

In his dual capacity as head of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Jaghbir commended the JIA for its role in addressing industrial issues in coordination with the chamber's administration. He revealed plans to issue a tender for the construction of the exhibition and business center, which will include an exhibition venue, workshops, conference halls, and a business complex adhering to international standards. The initial project bids were reviewed by the Jordan Engineers Association.

Jaghbir also mentioned the possibility for industrial companies to participate in the project, reflecting a collaborative approach to the development. In support of this initiative, JIA Chairman Mujahid Rajabi provided insights into the association's operations. Since its founding in 1991, JIA has managed the Sahab and Muwaqqar industrial estates, which host approximately 600 factories with investments exceeding JD6 billion and employing over 26,000 workers.

Rajabi added that the JIA offers a range of services to its members, including training programs in partnership with national institutions and facilitating industrial transactions. Additionally, the association plans to provide transportation for workers and establish agreements with shipping, transportation, and consulting companies at competitive rates.
