Ali freihat: The Ajloun Cable Car has drawn nearly one million visitors since its inauguration in June 2023, according to Director of the Ajloun Development Area, Engineer Tariq Al-Maaytah.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Maaytah noted in an interview that the number of visitors to the Ajloun Development Area, which includes the cable car project, has increased significantly this year, rising from about 300,000 to 350,000. This surge in visitors highlights the project's role in boosting tourism in the governorate.
Al-Maaytah emphasized that the Ajloun Cable Car has become one of the Kingdom's key tourist attractions, especially among Arab visitors. The development areas in Ajloun are pivotal in attracting tourism and environmental investments, thereby promoting local development.
The area is equipped with restaurants, caf©s, and a seasonal bazaar where local residents can showcase and sell homemade products, supporting local communities and fostering small enterprises.
He further explained that the Ajloun Development Area started with the cable car project as its initial phase and has evolved into an integrated resort offering various activities and services for visitors to enjoy.
Al-Maaytah also mentioned that the second phase of the Ajloun Development Area is underway, which will feature hotels, an eco-camp, eco-lodges, adventure zones, playgrounds, and a family park. These additions aim to enhance Ajloun's standing as a sustainable tourism destination.
