Al-Azhar Condemns Iranian Attacks on Jordan and Gulf States

Amman: Al-Azhar condemned on Monday Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman, which caused damage to several civilian and vital facilities. In a statement, the Cairo-based Islamic institution affirmed its rejection of the attacks, stating that they threaten the security of civilians and violate the sovereignty of Arab nations, as well as the safety of their peoples and territories.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Azhar emphasized that the continuation of these attacks undermines efforts aimed at de-escalation across the region. It called for self-restraint, prioritizing wisdom and reason, safeguarding the region's broader interests, and pursuing political and diplomatic solutions.
