Al-Azhar Criticizes Israel’s Aid Blockade in Gaza

Cairo: Al-Azhar strongly condemned Israel's decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid convoys into Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, in a statement on Monday, Al-Azhar denounced Israel's actions, describing them as a deliberate effort to starve innocent children, women, and men-an act devoid of compassion and humanity. The statement also criticized the timing of the blockade during the holy month of Ramadan, accusing Israel of exploiting the situation to prevent Palestinians from practicing their religious rituals and further intensifying their suffering.

Al-Azhar called on the governments of Muslim nations to use diplomatic and political means to lift the blockade on starving civilians, warning that the measure aims to force Palestinians into a dire choice between starvation and displacement from their land.
