Salt: Al-Balqa Applied University has announced the launch of a new bachelor's program in Medical Radiologic Technology, set to begin in the 2025/2026 academic year at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences in Salt.

According to Jordan News Agency, the program is part of the university's broader strategy to align with national goals for advancing higher education and supporting the healthcare sector. It aims to prepare graduates with the technical expertise needed to meet growing demand in local, regional, and international job markets.

University President Dr. Ahmad Fakhri Al-Ajlouni stated that the program reflects the university's commitment to delivering applied education that meets the evolving needs of the labor market. He noted that the initiative will equip students with practical skills and hands-on experience, improving their employability and contributing to sustainable development, particularly in areas such as quality education, decent work, and innovation.

Al-Ajlouni highlighted that the program extends beyond training radiologic technicians, providing students with advanced digital and technical competencies essential in today's healthcare systems.

Maher Obaidat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, pointed out that the new program will prepare students to operate the latest radiologic equipment and technologies. Graduates will be qualified to work in hospitals, medical centers, and private clinics, as well as in academic and research institutions. He added that the program is expected to help close the gap in skilled professionals within the radiologic technology field, particularly in Jordan and neighboring countries.

The initiative is part of Al-Balqa Applied University's ongoing efforts to expand its academic offerings in applied sciences and contribute to building a more skilled and competitive healthcare workforce.
