Amman Chamber of Industry’s Exports Surpass JD2 Billion in Early 2025

Amman: The Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) has reported a significant growth in its exports, reaching JD2.267 billion in the first third of 2025. This growth marks a 14.8% increase compared to the same period last year, reflecting the resilience and competitiveness of the Jordanian industrial sector in global markets.

According to Jordan News Agency, the statistical data highlights that most industrial sectors experienced an increase in exports, except for the wood and furniture, medical supplies, and packaging industries, which saw declines of 14.7%, 6.4%, and 5.2%, respectively. The construction industries sector led the growth with a remarkable 105.2% increase, while the plastics and rubber sector saw a modest rise of 1.6%.

Major export destinations such as India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq accounted for over half of the total exports, valued at JD1.284 billion. Exports to India rose by 19.9% to JD307 million, while Saudi Arabia saw a 4.7% increase to JD274 million. Exports to Iraq also grew by 4% to JD303 million. Conversely, exports to the United States fell by 4.1% to JD400 million, though it remained the top importer.

Additionally, exports to Syria experienced a dramatic increase of 346.5%, reaching JD94 million compared to JD21 million during the same period last year, showcasing the diversification of Jordan's export markets.
