Amman: The Amman Chamber of Commerce has launched the "Amman Chamber Training Academy Community" in a bid to deepen partnerships with institutions and companies supporting professional development and to promote a culture of continuous learning and investment in human capital. According to Jordan News Agency, Second Vice President of the Chamber Bahjat Hamdan emphasized that investment in people remains the most sustainable and rewarding form of investment. He noted that organizations prioritizing training and skills development are better poised to adapt to changing business environments, tackle challenges, and enhance their competitiveness. Hamdan elaborated that the chamber continues to evolve its training academy into a specialized platform for knowledge transfer, capacity building, and professional development through training programs aligned with labor market needs and rapid developments across various sectors including administrative, financial, logistics, digital, technological, and regulatory fie lds. He highlighted that the academy delivered 100 specialized training programs last year, along with 20 free awareness workshops focusing on business-related legislation and regulations, particularly the national e-invoicing system. These programs benefitted approximately 2,000 participants, comprising chamber members, government institution representatives, and local community members. Hamdan also pointed out that the academy has served as a forum for dialogue and expertise exchange, enabling over 3,000 participants to engage directly with decision-makers, officials, and specialists from various sectors. The newly launched community marks a new phase in the academy's development by creating a network of institutions that value professional development, workforce empowerment, and continuous skill enhancement. The initiative is expected to offer a structured platform for communication with businesses and institutions, allowing the academy to better understand training needs and develop more tailored progr ams for the business sector. Deputy Director General of the Chamber Bashar Moqbel provided an overview of the academy and the objectives of the new community initiative, underscoring its strategic vision, mechanisms for promoting human capital investment, and the benefits available to participating companies. The event also recognized organizations and companies with the highest participation rates in academy training programs during 2025 under platinum, gold, and silver partnership categories. Participants explored ways to further strengthen cooperation between the academy and the private sector, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of training programs and ensuring alignment between workforce development initiatives and labor market demands. The launch ceremony was attended by First Vice President of the Chamber Nabil Al-Khatib, Board Member Amjad Al-Sweilemeen, representatives of public and private sector institutions, academy partners, and several trainees.
