Amman Stock Exchange Closes Lower on Monday; Industrial and Financial Sectors Weigh

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed lower on Monday, tracking modest declines across key sectors as overall market sentiment remained cautious.

According to Jordan News Agency, total trading turnover reached JD9.6 million, with 4.8 million shares changing hands through 3,724 transactions. The ASE General Index slipped 0.22% to close at 3,323 points, pressured mainly by losses in the industrial and financial sectors.

The Industrial Index fell 0.35%, while the Financial Index eased 0.20%. The Services Index, however, inched up 0.16%, partially offsetting broader market weakness.

Out of 104 listed companies traded, 36 advanced, 36 declined, and the remainder held steady, reflecting a balanced but subdued session.
