Amman Stock Exchange Hits New Record High at 3,506 Points

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange index reached a new historic high at the close of trading on Sunday, hitting 3,506 points, a level last seen in October 2008, to end the session up 0.67 percent.

According to Jordan News Agency, the exchange closed with the trading of about 4.4 million shares, distributed over 3,579 contracts, with a total trading value of approximately JD8.5 million. Share prices of 28 companies declined, while those of 48 companies rose, and the share prices of another 35 companies remained unchanged.
