Amman Stock Exchange Sees 0.59% Increase to Close at 3,987 Points

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed on a positive note on Monday, with the general share price index rising 0.59 percent to settle at 3,987 points.

According to Jordan News Agency, the total trading volume for the day reached JD18.2 million, with 12.8 million shares changing hands across 3,183 transactions. Out of the 110 companies that were traded, 40 experienced a rise in their stock prices, while 32 recorded gains.

All market sectors experienced gains during the day. The financial sector led the way with a 0.65% increase, followed closely by the industrial sector, which rose by 0.60%. The services sector also saw a rise, albeit more modestly, at 0.29%.
