The Ministry of Transport announced today, Friday, that an earthquake of magnitude (4.1) had been recorded southeast of Khanaqin in Diyala Governorate. The ministry said in a statement, "The seismic observatories at the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake this morning, Friday, in Diyala Governorate." It added, "The observatories report indicated that the earthquake was recorded at 08:54:11 a.m. local time, and its strength reached 4.1 degrees, and no significant material or human losses were reported."
