Ramallah - Ma'an - Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham, in cooperation with the Palestinian Teachers Union, announced an agreement with universities to pay tuition fees for teachers' children for the first semester in all Palestinian universities. The Ministry explained that this decision came in consultation with the Council of University Presidents, so that the tuition fee would be covered for one student for each teacher, and according to a mechanism that will be developed for this purpose. She explained that this decision comes as an affirmation of the support and assistance of teachers and the alleviation of the financial burdens placed on them in light of the current circumstances, while emphasizing the role of our male and female teachers in embodying the most wonderful models of steadfastness, patience and bearing burdens, and starting an in-person school year with the initiative for hundreds of them to join virtual schools to teach students from the Gaza Strip.
