Anti-Narcotics Department Tackles 101 Drug Cases in Crystal Meth Crackdown

Amman:The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that agents from the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) managed 101 cases linked to crystal meth across various governorates during the tenth week of their intensified campaign.

According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD statement specified that these cases involved 28 incidents related to trafficking and distribution, while the remaining 73 cases pertained to consumption of the drug. As a result, 41 distributors and 120 users were arrested, with quantities of crystal meth confiscated from those apprehended.

The spokesperson emphasized that the crackdown is being conducted with "firm resolve and zero tolerance" to achieve its objectives, which include increasing public awareness about the dangers of crystal meth and pursuing those who deal with this harmful drug. The campaign aims to protect society and its members from the crimes associated with drug use.

To aid in the fight against drug-related activities, the spokesperson encouraged the public to report any information regarding individuals or activities connected to crystal meth through the unified emergency number 911. The PSD assured that all reports would be treated with "utmost confidentiality and seriousness."
