Lisbon: The Arab Potash Company (APC) on Wednesday signed a long-term supply agreement with Belgium's Tessenderlo Kerley International, one of the world's largest producers of potassium sulfate fertilizer, in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement was signed by APC's Chief Executive Officer, Maen Nsour; Tessenderlo Kerley International Executive Vice President, Geert Gyselinck; and Chief Operating Officer of APC Europe, Rashid Lubani. The signing took place on the sidelines of the "Argus Fertilizer Europe Conference," a significant industry event that brings together producers and consumers from across Europe's fertilizer sector.

APC-Europe, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, acts as the new commercial and logistics arm of the Arab Potash Company. It is a crucial part of the company's expansion strategy in Europe, focusing on enhancing marketing and distribution operations by improving shipping and storage efficiency and widening the customer base in target markets.

Under the agreement, the Arab Potash Company will supply between 100,000 and 120,000 tons of potash annually to Tessenderlo Kerley International, with the contract set for automatic yearly renewal. This arrangement highlights the strength of the strategic partnership and the confidence European partners have in the company's product quality.

Sales of potash to Tessenderlo Kerley International have shown consistent growth over the past three years, reaching approximately 90,000 tons in 2024.
