Amman:The Unified Admission Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announced that electronic applications for admission to Jordanian public universities are now open for children of Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians. The application period began on Sunday and will remain open until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30.
According to Jordan News Agency, applications can be submitted through the unit's website under the bachelor's degree section. To be eligible, applicants must have passed the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate for the first time during the 2026 summer session or the 2025 supplementary session. After submitting the application and saving their choices, applicants are required to pay a JD15 fee through the Central Bank of Jordan's eFAWATEERcom service.
Eligibility for these seats requires holding an identification card for children of Jordanian women issued by the Civil Status and Passports Department. Applicants must enter details such as the serial number on the identification card, the seat number and examination session from their General Secondary Education Certificate, their national number, and their Jordanian mother's place and registration number.
The unit emphasized that those nominated for admission under the royal makruma allocation or other special allocations are excluded from this program. Admission will be based on the minimum competitive averages for the current 2026/2027 academic year, which have been previously published on the unit's website.
