Aqaba: The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Nayef Fayez, met with the Swedish Ambassador to Jordan, Maria Sargren, to discuss potential cooperation in investment, tourism, and various industries, including creative and electronic gaming.
According to Jordan News Agency, Fayez highlighted the investment incentives provided by the Aqaba Authority to attract global investors and businesses. He pointed out that Aqaba offers a secure and stable environment for investments, which aligns with the city's strategic objectives to localize investments effectively.
Fayez elaborated on Aqaba's future plans, aiming to transform the city into a smart hub and rank it among the top 100 cities globally. These ambitions are based on developing a green economy, smart infrastructure, and integrating advanced information technologies.
The conversation also explored opportunities for collaboration in creative industries and electronic gaming. Fayez emphasized Aqaba's vision to become a regional leader in these sectors and highlighted the importance of Swedish investment in driving this growth.
The meeting also addressed investment in environmentally sustainable industries, with a focus on paper production as a sustainable alternative to plastic. Fayez noted the existing cooperation between Jordanian and Swedish investors and the importance of enhancing these partnerships to foster sustainable and innovative industry growth.
