Aqaba: The city of Aqaba is set to host six teams participating in the 12th edition of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) U-17 Championship, scheduled to take place from October 27 to November 4, 2025.
According to Jordan News Agency, national teams from Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Kuwait, and Lebanon have confirmed their participation in the tournament. The draw, which will determine the structure of the participating teams, is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on October 14.
The upcoming tournament serves as a preparatory stage for the national teams ahead of the Asian qualifiers, which are set for November 22-30. This event is considered crucial for the teams as they prepare for the continental competition.
In the previous edition held in late 2024, the Syrian national team claimed the title in Jordan. The tournament then featured nine teams, including Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Syria, and Palestine.
