Amman: The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) announced the launch of a project to automate its services, collaborating with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to introduce 22 e-services through digital government channels, adhering to national standards.

According to Jordan News Agency, AQACHEI Chairman Dr. Dhafer Sarayrah detailed the project’s implementation plan, which began last month and spans eight months. The plan is structured in two phases, with the first phase set to deliver 16 e-services by next February, and the second phase targeting the complete automation of all 22 services by next April. Additionally, the project includes a 24-month period for technical maintenance and support following the completion of the implementation phase.

Dr. Sarayrah explained that the system will operate on the government cloud, featuring integration with key partners such as the Civil Status and Passports Department, the Ministry of Higher Education, the eFAWATEERcom electronic payment system, and the Sanad application. The integration of a digital ID for accessing services will enable immediate data verification and eliminate paper transactions.

To ensure the system’s efficacy, comprehensive testing will be conducted to assess performance, cybersecurity, and user experience prior to the pilot launch. Staff members from the relevant directorates will receive training to facilitate this transition.

The project aims to establish a unified system that streamlines accreditation, university degree recognition, and equivalency procedures. It will also provide dashboards, performance indicators, and reports to support decision-making, ensuring faster and more transparent services for beneficiary institutions.
