Amman: The 8th Arab Forum, titled "Sustainability and Economic Development - The Role of Leadership in Achieving Institutional Excellence in Light of the Digital Revolution," commenced on Wednesday in Amman. The event is organized by the Amman Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Arab Trainers Union. According to Jordan News Agency, the two-day forum includes scientific and discussion sessions that delve into the integration of technology and innovation in sustainability and economic development. The sessions also focus on leadership strategies for achieving institutional excellence and highlight training as a crucial tool for growth. Representing the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, the General Controller of Companies, Wael Armouti, reaffirmed Jordan's dedication to institutional leadership as a fundamental element in building resilient economies. These economies should be capable of confronting the challenges posed by the digital revolution. Armouti pointed out the importance of investing in human resources, nurturing innovation, and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives as key to attaining sustainable development. Armouti underscored that sustainable economic growth is contingent upon a synergistic partnership between the public and private sectors. He highlighted Jordan's proactive measures in launching initiatives that encourage investment and leadership, aimed at stimulating economic growth. Furthermore, he praised the Arab Experts Portal, an innovative platform designed to connect Arab experts and companies, thereby enhancing economic partnerships and promoting sustainable development. Khalil Haj Tawfiq, chairperson of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, reiterated the Chamber's commitment to sustainability and institutional excellence. He elaborated on the Chamber's efforts to implement digital transformation, particularly in sectors such as retail trade, e-commerce, and consulting services. Additionally, he mentioned the development of legislation to regulate these sectors and boost produ ctivity and trade exchange among Arab countries. Younis Khataybeh, President of the Arab Trainers Union, stressed the importance of institutional excellence in overcoming regional challenges. He highlighted the Union's role in empowering Arab talents through training and the Arab Experts Portal, which promotes knowledge-sharing and innovation to advance economic and social development. Director General of the Arab Planning Institute, Abdullah Fahd Shami, emphasized the necessity for flexible and efficient leadership to navigate the rapid digital transformations. Speaking via video, he announced the launch of the Arab Experts Platform, designed to enhance collaboration among Arab professionals. This platform offers accredited certifications and awards to bolster competitiveness and foster professional growth.
