Arab Information Ministers Grant Observer Status to ICESCO, AASTMT

Cairo: The Council of Arab Information Ministers, meeting Wednesday for its 55th session at the Arab League, approved granting observer status to the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).

According to Jordan News Agency, the council's decision falls within broader efforts to open up to influential media actors across the Arab and Islamic worlds and to strengthen cooperation with organizations and institutions engaged in media-related activities. The move aims to foster the exchange of expertise and benefit from their experiences, plans, and programs in the media and communications field.
