The Arab Parliament Monday condemned the storming and vandalism of the Jordanian Embassy building in Khartoum, Sudan.

The Speaker of the pan-Arab legislature, Adel Assoumi, said, “This criminal act is contrary to the rules of international law and international agreements that require the protection of diplomatic missions, the provision of security for them and respect for their sanctity.”

Assoumi urged the conflicting parties in Sudan to resort to dialogue and abide by the Jeddah Declaration to protect civilians and facilitate humanitarian aid’s arrival.
