Cairo, The Arab Parliament Thursday said that raising the status of scientific research has become “one of the main requirements” for achieving sustainable development and security in Arab countries.
The President of the pan-Arab legislature, Adel Assoumi, said during a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Prince Muhammad bin Fahd International Foundation and the President of Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University, Issa al-Ansari that Arab countries must have an “ample” share in scientific research to achieve a safe future for the present and future generations.
Assoumi added that the Arab Parliament would be keen to initiate “positive and constructive” cooperation with Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University.
For his part, Issa al-Ansari viewed the non-traditional initiatives adopted by the university to qualify students for the requirements of public life, explaining that the university is implementing the international standards adopted to empower youth.
