Amman: The Jordan Armed Forces and the Arab Potash Company have expanded their collaboration by signing an addendum to their existing agreement concerning mine clearance operations. The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, attended by prominent figures including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Yousef Hunaiti and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Potash Company Shehadeh Abu Hudeib.
According to Jordan News Agency, this new addendum was signed by the Director of the Royal Engineering Corps representing the Jordan Armed Forces, and Maan Nusour, the Chief Executive Officer of the Arab Potash Company. The updated agreement seeks to enhance technical cooperation between the two entities, leveraging the Royal Engineering Corps' specialized expertise and equipment in mine detection and clearance efforts.
The collaboration focuses on a comprehensive approach that encompasses technical surveys, search operations, clearance activities, and risk mitigation within the concession areas of the Arab Potash Company. This initiative aims to adhere to the highest standards of occupational health, safety, and public safety policies, ensuring that ongoing and future operations of the Arab Potash Company proceed without compromising on safety and security.
