Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Monday welcomed the ambassadors of Australia, Sweden, and France at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF). In separate meetings attended by senior JAF officers and military attach©s, they explored the potential for enhancing joint military and security cooperation and exchanging expertise.
According to Jordan News Agency, Huneiti and Swedish Ambassador Maria Sargren reviewed security cooperation and regional and international issues of common interest. The discussion focused on strengthening collaborative efforts in areas that impact both nations.
In another meeting, Huneiti engaged with French Ambassador Franck Gellet, emphasizing the strong Franco-Jordanian relations and close military cooperation aimed at enhancing regional security and stability. The discussions underscored the importance of continued military collaboration between the two countries.
The meeting with Australian Ambassador Bernard Lynch concentrated on developing military cooperation, particularly in training and expertise exchange, highlighting the robust relations between Jordan and Australia. The discussions aimed at fostering deeper ties in military training and shared experiences.
The ambassadors praised Jordan's pivotal role under His Majesty King Abdullah II in promoting peace and stability, acknowledging the humanitarian and medical contributions of the JAF.
