Army Chief and Lockheed Martin Executive Discuss Defense Cooperation

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Monday received at the General Command the CEO of Lockheed Martin Middle East Defense Industries, retired US Army General John Nicholson, and his accompanying delegation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, attended by a number of senior Armed Forces officers, focused on exploring areas of cooperation in defense and military industries. The discussions aimed at enhancing the Jordanian Armed Forces' combat and technological capabilities, ensuring they keep pace with advances in modern equipment and technologies.

Huneiti emphasized the continuous efforts of the Armed Forces to strengthen its defense system through strategic partnerships with leading international companies. This approach is designed to ensure readiness and efficiency in addressing various security challenges facing the region.

For his part, Nicholson praised Jordan's significant role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in promoting regional security and stability. He affirmed Lockheed Martin's commitment to providing advanced technological solutions to meet the defense and security needs of its partners.
