Army Chief and U.S. Congressional Delegation Discuss Military Cooperation

Amman: Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti met with a delegation from the U.S. Congressional Armed Services Committee. The discussions centered on enhancing joint cooperation and coordination in military and security fields, as well as addressing regional and international developments.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting included senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces and the U.S. Defence Attach© in Amman. Major General Huneiti emphasized the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States and advocated for strengthening joint efforts to promote international peace and security.

Members of the U.S. delegation praised the efforts of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in political and security spheres. They also highlighted Jordan's significant role in providing humanitarian and relief assistance in the region.
