Army Chief, Chinese Ambassador Discuss Defense Cooperation

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Hunaiti met Sunday at the General Command with China's Ambassador to Amman Guo Wei. The meeting reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and coordination in various defense fields between the Jordan Armed Forces and the Chinese armed forces, as well as ways to strengthen them. The two sides also discussed several issues of mutual interest.

According to Jordan News Agency, Hunaiti highlighted the advanced level of relations between Jordan and China, stressing the importance of continued coordination and cooperation in a manner that serves shared interests.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador commended Jordan's role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting regional security and stability, expressing China's keenness to further develop cooperation with Jordan across various fields.
