Army Chief Engages with Swedish Military Leaders to Enhance Cooperation

Stockholm: Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti met on Tuesday with the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Michael Claesson, in Stockholm, Sweden. Huneiti emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two armed forces. He highlighted the level of military coordination and cooperation that supports efforts to enhance regional and international security and stability.

According to Jordan News Agency, Lieutenant General Michael Claesson stressed the importance of further developing joint military cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces. He also focused on enhancing the exchange of expertise in areas of mutual interest.

Additionally, Huneiti met with the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Carl-Johan Edstr¶m, at the Swedish Army Command headquarters. In the presence of several senior Swedish Armed Forces officers and the Swedish non-resident defense attach©, both sides discussed ways to bolster military cooperation in training, operational, and logistical fields. They also explored mechanisms for exchanging expertise in defense and security.
