Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hunaiti inaugurated the new headquarters and facilities of the 6th Royal Guard Mechanized Battalion, a unit operating under the Martyr Wasfi Al-Tal 2nd Mechanized Brigade within the Eastern Military Zone. The event took place during an inspection visit where the army chief assessed the battalion's operational and training readiness.
According to Jordan News Agency, upon his arrival, Maj. Gen. Hunaiti was welcomed by the Commander of the Eastern Military Zone. In attendance were senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), and briefings were presented by the brigade and battalion commanders. These briefings highlighted ongoing training programs, logistical setups, and administrative plans designed to maintain maximum operational efficiency.
Maj. Gen. Hunaiti remarked that the construction of the new battalion facilities in line with modern engineering standards represents a significant step forward in the armed forces' modernization efforts. He pointed out that the project enhances the military's adaptability and provides an advanced working environment conducive to overall capacity building.
The army chief further elaborated that these structural projects reflect a comprehensive vision aimed at developing a modern, integrated defense capabilities framework. This framework is designed to be equipped to handle evolving security challenges, thereby reinforcing the armed forces' primary national mandate to safeguard state security and stability.
During his visit, Maj. Gen. Hunaiti toured the new installations, inspected technical equipment, and observed live training exercises. He concluded by commending the professionalism, morale, and execution capabilities demonstrated by the battalion's personnel.
