Army Chief Inspects Border Guard Units in Northern Military Zone

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmad Huneiti on Saturday inspected two Royal Border Guard battalions, the 10th and 12th, which are part of the 2nd Border Guard Brigade under the Northern Military Zone. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to assess the readiness of Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) units.

According to Jordan News Agency, Huneiti was received by the zone's commander and was briefed by senior officers on operational and logistical matters. The discussions included ongoing efforts to secure the border and maintain national stability.

During his visit, Huneiti toured the area and reviewed the preparedness of border guard personnel and the specialized forces supporting them. He commended their dedication to defending the country and safeguarding its resources, emphasizing the importance of their role in deterring any threats to Jordan's security.

Huneiti reaffirmed the military's commitment to reinforcing border security with elite forces to ensure the army's ability to defend the kingdom's frontiers effectively. He met with troops from the Border Guard forces and supporting units, extending his congratulations on the occasion of Ramadan and the 69th anniversary of the Arabization of the leadership of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army. He praised the high morale of the personnel and their dedication to their duties across the Northern Military Zone.
